Swilly Mulroy Credit Union reminds members of continued support.

Communities around the world continue to come together to do what they can to prevent the spread of COVID-19. As the pandemic sweeps the world, it is important that communities are there for each other.

At the heart of every community on the island of Ireland, credit unions are known for always putting the interests of their members first. In this unprecedented time credit unions recognise that many of their members will face unexpected hardship through unemployment and other events associated with COVID-19. In the face of these incredible challenges, we have seen ordinary people go to extraordinary lengths to help others.

And just as we have helped members through adversity in the past, we will do everything that we can to be sure we are here to support you.

Paul Bailey, Head of Communications at the Irish League of Credit Unions wishes to ensure members that credit unions will do what they can to support their members. “We are urging members to contact their local credit union, either by phone or online, to discuss possible flexible arrangements regarding their loans over the coming months if your financial circumstances have changed. We can assure members that they will be treated fairly and with empathy”.

If you are concerned at this time, talk to us at Swilly Mulroy Credit Union, we are here to help.
